The PacketBand-VX supports either a single X.21/V.11 (15-way or 25-way “D”) or V.35 (MRAC or 25-way "D" RS530).
Ordered with either V.35 or X.21/V.11 presentations, the product supports delivery of transparent serial clock-locked data paths across Ethernet, IP and MPLS networks.

Devices connecting to the PacketBand-VX have a number of clocking options with the ability to run synchronised (or clock-locked) applications using PacketBand’s very high accuracy clock recovery systems.

The PacketBand-VX is ideal for replacing legacy leased lines with an Ethernet/IP based service and particularly for telemetry applications

|
The PacketBand-VX is able to inter-work with other PacketBand devices so , for example, a V.35 device at one end can communicate with a T1 unit at the other.

Or an X.21 device could call or be called by an ISDN device opening new opportunities for inter-connectivity. Available May '07
Calls across the network can be established based upon different criteria, including 24/7, scheduled and in response to DTE control leads.
Optional simplex Multicast operation is available and this is an ideal IP solution for broadcast applications.

Initial supported clock rates are multiples of 8Kbps. A subsequent release will support speeds such as 9.6k, 19.2k etc - please ask for details.
