The Liberator “S” (above), the Liberator “Q” and the Liberator “D” are all intelligent ISDN converters or switches. They have similar proven and established core software and functionality but different packaging, numbers of ports and distribution capabilities.
All the models within the Liberator range are very compact, fast and easy to install and configure via its DBManager Graphical User Interface, as can be seen by the links to "movies" for the relevant products, giving an overview of the Manger and the technical capabilities of the equipment.

Liberator ‘S is a stand-alone 1U ISDN converter with single internal AC/DC PSU and supports up to 3 PRI interfaces and up to 16 BRIs. A non-blocking cross-connect switch with connections to the network (TE) and to local ISDN equipment (NT) in both BRI and PRI.

Low-cost, and available with many different port configurations from a single PRI and 4 BRIs, Liberator ‘S’ shares advanced routing and number manipulation capabilities with other Liberator models.

The Liberator ‘D’ is a distributed ISDN switch supporting 4 PRIs in a single chassis, once again with E1/T1 options but also with A-Law to U-Law conversion.

A key feature of the Liberator ‘D’ is its expandability and capability to be distributed around a building or base on standard CAT5 cabling. This means PRIs can be delivered to where needed and/or a large non-blocking switch with many PRIs can be constructed. BRIs, if needed, can be delivered using a PRI port of the Liberator ‘D’ to delivery multiple BRIs via a Liberator ‘S’.
