DB 120 - main page

The DB120 chassis is a compact and flexible system giving all cards access to all other cards and resources. It has the ability to cross-connect any timeslot to any card and therefore resources within the chassis can be used most effectively and resiliently.

It supports a number of applications including:

• leased line backup for x21 and v35 circuits
• backup for g703 trunks
• channelised g704 backup
• drop and insert
• pri to bri conversion
• contension between bri and pri lines
• pri and bri isdn TE and NT modes
• High capacity isdn terminal adaptor
• BSC and ASC hub for BTS 2G mobile sites
• ASC chassis for tetra radio reliance

with optional load-sharing PSUs and the ability to mix cards within the chassis in any combination. All cards are “hot-swappable” with power-failure relay capability where applicable.

The chassis supports multiple PRI and/or BRI interfaces, both NT and TE presentations (customer- and exchange-facing) and it supports PRI-to-BRI conversion and “Drop & Insert”.

A variety of other cards are also available and these support applications such as; backup of all types of circuits including V.35, X.21/V.11, G.703 and channelised G.704; dial-up N*64kbps options (Bandwidth-on-Demand) for the same types of interfaces; and multiple V.11 and V.24 interfaces in a Terminal Adapter mode.
