Patapsco has a wide and comprehensive range of ISDN backup products, used across the world by corporates and carriers backing-up leased lines of all types including those for Frame Relay.
This page gives an overview of the ISDN backup products, grouped into similar devices.
Key benefits of Patapsco's ISDN backup products are:
Very fast backup of failed circuits, usually achieving the maintenance of user sessions and DLIs. Users/customers are usually unaware that the main route has failed and they are working on the backup service. Low speeds usually established within 2-3 seconds and a full 2.048Mbps in just 6-8 seconds. Multiple circuit failures are quickly handled by the LLx and DB120 ranges. Excellent for maintaining SLA and customer relationships.
Intuitive management packages ensure your operators know the status of the network and all its links in real-time.
Low through-put delays.
No overhead on DTE equipment.
Various circuit detection criteria and modes of clocking/monitoring the ISDN backup "B" channels.
Scheduled automatic testing ensures the backup works when needed.
The Databand range has been proven over a number of years in the most demanding situations.
Databand LLB and Mini ranges are small stand-alone units. Low cost, easy to install and manage, reliable and with sophisticated features, they are the choice for remote customer or office locations.
All inter-work with all other backup products, including the LLx and Db120 cards.

The Databand LLx ranges are designed for channelised G.703 G.704 trunks where multiple logical circuits are delivered as timeslot's within the 2.048Mbps circuit by the carrier.
Each unit interfaces to a G.704 trunk from the network and presents a G.704 to the local DTE.
The LL30 backs-up multiple 64kbps logical circuits and the LLN backs- up multiple N*64kbps logic circuits and the LLN1 a single logical N*64k circuit. multiple BRI or PRI is provided dependant upon the Model and numbers of channels benefiting from backup.
Channels not designated for backup are passed straight through the unit.
