Inverse Multiplexor, Mux or Aggregator

Inverse mux or aggregator applications - introduction and overview Inverse multiplexing is required when establishing an N*64kbps circuit using multiple ISDN channels. Each ISDN "B" channel can be individually routed and will therefore have different clocking and differential delays.

An inverse multiplexor or aggregator will usually handling the ISDN dialing, will compensate for the different delays, and present the DTEs with a high-speed N*64kbps circuit identical to that of a leased line. Some inverse muxes also have different options to monitor and automatically manage the ISDN "B" channels when in use, ensuring a reliable and error-free delivery of data to the application.

Patapsco's inverse mux and aggregation ranges are a consequence of the company being a leading manufacturer and supplier of automatic ISDN backup products for leased lines, Frame Relay and other services.

These applications all need aggregation or inverse multiplexing. The Databand ISDN range includes the "DIAL" inverse mux products which provide bandwidth-on-demand by inverse multiplexing multiple ISDN "B" channels into a single high-speed circuit for connection to DTEs.

Other Info area: All products inter-work, most are remotely upgradeable via ISDN; all establish the ISDN backup path extremely quickly to maintain user-sessions; all are relay-protected; all are managed by a common Manager Carrier-grade platform, DbManager and all provide excellent levels of dial-in security.

Thousands of the Databand ISDN backup products are installed in Carrier and Corporate networks across the world. There is no more comprehensive, robust, fast and cost-effective solution.
