Products - ISDN Simulator for BRI and PRI

ISDN Simulator from Patapsco

The lowest-cost and highest-featured ISDN Simulator product available!

Prices on this page.

Based on the popular Liberator ISDN switch/converter with thousands installed across the world, the Simulator is identical in most aspects except, like all ISDN simulators, it does not have the ability to connect to a network, but rather simulates a network locally with the ability to cross-connect and switch between multiple local devices. If access to a real ISDN network (TE ports) is needed, please see the area on this site dedicated to the Liberator units

Designed and manufactured by Patapsco, the company has been involved in developing and installing ISDN equipment around the world for the last 20 years. The ISDN protocol stacks are developed in-house and the number of flexible configuration options reflects the experience gained from “real-world” situations

Unlike other ISDN simulator vendors Patapsco majors in selling equipment which is installed onto real carrier networks – we have the knowledge to provide you and your organisation with an ISDN simulator that really does do the things you will experience in a real environment, not just a simulated one!

The Simulator can be as simple or sophisticated as you need. Easy to drive through its intuitive DbManager GUI (via serial port or LAN) the ISDN Simulator is the result of 20 years expertise – you can be confident the Simulator will do what you require.

The Simulator is available in a number of versions to suit your application. In the product matrix below you can see that the Simulator supports different numbers of PRI and/or BRI ports. Simple identify which unit you need and contact us for a formal quotation. We hold stock and can deliver quickly. Not only that, but we provide excellent support.

There are no restrictions in how channels can be routed between ISDN interfaces and the Simulator can handle exceptionally high call rates.

The 4-wire ISDN “S” BRI ports support Euro-ISDN (ETSI) and US-ISDN (ANSI) with conversion between the two types. A BRI option with Power Feed (Phantom Power) is available.  Euro-PRI and US-PRI is supported, again with conversion. Calls on a BRI can be routed to any BRI/PRI port and visa-versa.

The Simulator has non-volatile Event Logs that can record all events, down to individual ISDN messages and Patapsco supply a tool which will help you translate these messages into something more understandable.
