Products - Liberator Summary Page - Liberator "S" - ISDN Connectivity Diagram

A summary diagram illustrating the connectivity possibilities for the Liberator "S" as an ISDN PRI BRI convertor, ISDN splitter, and/or switch.

The ISDN diagrams show network and CPE connections with both PRI and BRI ISDN options.

Diagram

1.Simulator, test and demonstration application with multiple BRI ports acting like an ISDN network. Full inter-connection and features such as CLI etc. Available with 4, 8 or 16 BRIs.

2.PRI network simulator available with one or two ports. Full "B" channel cross-connection.
with 4, 8 or 16 BRIs.

3.ISDN BRI and PRI simulator. Allows testing and applications such as demonstrating equipment at customer site. Supports 4,8 or 16 BRIs with one or two PRIs.

4.Convert multiple network BRIs into a PRI where PRIs are unavailable, expensive or not supplied with less than 30 "B" channels. 4, 8 or 16 BRI ports connect to the network.

5.Convert network BRIs into two PRIs which need fractional PRI access. Greatly reduces installation, rental and deposit costs. Ability to share and contend for capacity if required.

6.Use multiple BRI access lines to deliver one or two PRIs as well as local BRI ports. Share network capacity and use low-cost BRIs lines instead of multiple expensive PRI and BRI. Up to two local PRIs and a total of 16 BRIs (network and customer-facing).

7.Share a smaller number of network BRIs between many local PRIs, for example 4 network BRIs can be used by up to 12 local devices.

8.Share a single network PRI and network BRIs between a local PRI and multiple BRIs. The network PRI and BRI services could possibly be from different Carriers giving resilience.

9.Share a single PRI and multiple network BRIs (from two different Carriers?) between two local PRI devices and multiple BRI units. Sharing and contention is available.

10.Convert a network PRI or fractional PRI into multiple BRIs. Up to 16 BRIs (32 "B" channels) with 4, 8 and 16 port options.

11.Use a single PRI to supply one or two local PRI devices and 4, 8 or 16 BRI units.

12.Use two PRIs (from different Carriers?) to deliver local PRI and BRI ports. Least cost routing (LCR) functions are available in Liberator if two different Carriers are used.

13.Share two different Carriers to supply a single PRI. Most common application for this configuration is least cost routing or for applications that require enhanced resilience.

14.Share a single PRI between two local PRI devices. There is no BRI requirement in this application.

15.Liberator supports Carrier Preselect or Pre-select least cost routing by adding digits to the dialled number so the calls can be directed to the lowest-cost operator.

16.Simulate multiple BRI CPE

17.Simulate a PRI CPE

18.Simulate multiple BRI and PRI CPE.

The Other members of the Liberator range support other PRI options
