How do the clocks work?
  • Typically one “end” of a leased line will have a PacketBand which is clocked from the local DTE or network. This is true for these situations if a PacketBand-TDM is used or not.
  • The remote PacketBand-TDM sources its clock from any other PB-TDM it is connected to, across the Packet Network.
  • Typical clock accuracy for the recovered clock is within 10-40ppb (parts per billion) of the Master clock and exceeds the requirements for G.823/4.
  • This clocking area is a core part of PacketBand’s technology. If more detailed information is needed, please contact us.
