Use any LAN port to distribute ISDN

Using ISDN videoconferencing equipment can open up some local connectivity issues;

  • How do you get the BRI ISDN from the comms room to the VC room?
  • Do you need special cabling?
  • Are the distances too far to drive BRI ISDN?
  • If you have multiple VCs, how do you share the ISDN and route in-coming calls?
  • If you have multiple VCs, would a PRI into the building be more economical, reliable and take less space?

LanBand is designed specifically to transport clear-channel ISDN across your existing LAN.

Using your current infrastructure and wall sockets you can simply plug your VC in and connect to the comms room.

LanBand will also handle all of the sharing, switching/routing of the PSTN access.

If you extend your LAN using services such as LES circuits and you LAN is on one segment, you can also distribute between buildings.

If you have videoconference roll-around units on trolleys you already appreciate the flexibility they give. But you still currently need to cable out to fixed rooms/offices.

LanBand means you can take the video system anywhere you have an Ethernet socket on the wall - just plug in LanBand and it will do the rest!

LanBand can use PRI or BRI from the network and distribute BRIs or PRIs around the building. The ISDN looks just like a carrier-delivered service - completely transparent and lanBand recovers the clocks across the LAN so all end-points are clock-locked/synchronised to the network - no slips or hits due to free-running clocks.

If you need to transport ISDN across a larger network on different segments or with Nating or firewalls, our PacketBand-ISDN will do what you need.
